Evaulation Q4.
While making the opening sequence of Day One we thought a lot about how we could attract and address the audience. Our primary audience is teenage males so we thought of things they would be interested in stereotypically, like guns. The two characters you see at the beginning of Day One are both women with guns, when we did our research with questionnaires a lot of people said they would like to see more main roles from women and more guns used, straight away we use the guns and see the characters. Day One is a spoof and we wanted to show that in the opening sequence, we did this by exaggerating the chase scene and the shooting. When Louise gets shot it is repeated and we put a heartbeat effect on. Using an upbeat, well known song (Johnny B Goode - Chuck Berry) helped up show that Day One isnt as serious as other action films, also films with a good soundtrack are often seen as more enjoyable and popular.
