RepresentationFrom watching action and spy films i can see that men are usually the main part for example die hard and Johnny English excluding films like Tomb Raider, Lara Croft.
Lara Croft is represented as a strong woman who doesnt get emotionally attached and always beats men, she rarely has to fight women.
Bruce Willis in Die Hard is very hard and cold he doesnt cry and takes the whole situation as a joke, murdering people and not being bothered by it. All of the enemies in the Die Hard films are men, so he doesnt have to fight a woman.
In my spy action spoof i will take tips from these films and over exaggerate the 'hard' personalities that the main characters have...... to be continued

Mr and Mrs Smith Analysis
In the first two minutes of this clip with the credits on I could not tell that this film is an action spy film but I could see that it had hints of comedy. After this I can see that it is starting to turn into an action because there is a high angle pan shot which shows a helicopter then cuts to a hotel where in subtitles a man says that someone has been shot. This makes the film seem more like a spy film now because a lot of spy films have subtitles and undercover spies which we can work out Brad Pitt is because he has a gun in his back pocket. The scene after this is mainly romantic and doesn’t show signs of it being a action spy film but a romantic comedy with the mise en scene. The lighting is very dull which suggests romance and there are flashes of red which shows romance and love but however still shows danger to demonstrate that the film is a dangerous action film. Also they are dancing to romantic music but over that sound is the sound of helicopters so even though it is not an action scene there are still elements of action in there.I will use tips from this opening sequence of Mr and Mrs Smith in my clip, when there is not a dangerous part I will still put danger signs in there using the mise en scene and sound.
...so it is hard to say which institution is most famous for making spoofs. New Line Cinema is not very well known, comparing it to Universal or Fox but because of the success Austin Powers' has had New Line Cinema's is more well known making more money. For example 'Austin Powers Goldmember' made $213,307,889 3,613.
New Line Cinema

New Line Cinema was established in 1967 by Robert Shaye. They have distributed many films up to now since then and have made spoofs which benefit my research. These include Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery in 1997, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me 1999, Little Nicky 2000, Austin Powers in Goldmember 2002 and Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny 2006.

Institution
Austin Powers is a very famous and popular spy action spoof. It is distributed by the institution of New Line cinema. Box office mojo shows that the three Austin Powers' movie's are in the top ten for most popular spoofs. All of them were distributed by New Line cinema. There is not a specific institution for spoof films it has a wide range of institutions....

Audience
Our primary audience for our spy, action comedy spoof film will be teenage boys. Our secondary audience for the film will be teenage girls and older men, aged around 20-30. The film will have a wide range of viewers but this is who we think will be most likely to view our film. We think this because this is the primary and secondary audience for normal spy and action films so they will most likely be the same for the spoof because they will understand the jokes like what are in Johnny English and Austin Powers.
